Motherhood is difficult. So is marriage. And life, in general, actually.
So we say that a little silliness goes a long way. Deep, serious, soul-bearing discussions deepen relationships. But we’d like to offer that nonsensical discussions about our neurotic habits can go a long way, too.
So, when we read Susan of This Happy Mom‘s post yesterday about texting with her husband, Is This Normal?, we could totally relate. And were inspired to give you a couple of silly, little screenshots of what goes on in our weird brains when we’re not solving the world’s problems on Mothering From Scratch.
To give you some context, hair products are a big thing with us. We’re a bit obsessed. And we both have fond memories of our mothers using Dippity-do and other retro hair care products when we were growing up. So “dippity-do” became shorthand for, “I’m doing my hair thing.”
